Das Kaliber 4R36 wird vollständig im eigenen Haus in Seikos SII-Werk in Japan gefertigt. Es schlägt mit 21.600 Halbschwingungen/Stunde und 24 jewels und bietet eine Gangreserve von ca. 41 Stunden. Der bidirektionale Magic Lever-Rotor zieht automatisch in beide Richtungen auf. Sowohl Handaufzug über die Krone als auch Sekundenstopp für präzises Einstellen der Zeit sind möglich – Funktionen, die beim älteren 7S26-Uhrwerk dieser Generation fehlten.

Das 42,5 mm Gehäuse besteht aus Edelstahl mit gunmetal-Beschichtung mit gebürstetem und mattem gunmetal-Finish. Das Hardlex (Seiko-eigenes gehärtetes Mineralglas) sitzt über dem Zifferblatt. Die Wasserdichtigkeit beträgt 100 m / 10 ATM / 10 bar.
Das Schwarz (matt) Zifferblatt verfügt über aufgesetzte Balkenindizes (rechteckig) mit LumiBrite. LumiBrite – Seikos eigene Strontiumaluminat-Verbindung – ist auf Zeiger und Stundenmarkierungen aufgetragen und sorgt für ein zuverlässiges grünes Leuchten im Dunkeln. Wochentags- und Datumsanzeige bei 3 Uhr.
Geliefert an einem Edelstahl 3-Glieder-Armband (gunmetal-beschichtet) mit 22 mm Anstoßbreite, gesichert durch eine dreifach-Faltschließe mit Druckknöpfen. Die 22 mm Anstoßbreite bietet eine riesige Auswahl an Aftermarket-Bändern – eine der am weitesten verbreiteten Größen in der Uhren-Community.

Not only this is my favorite Chrono from Festina, it was purchased in France, carrying many memories. Now refreshed with the better than the original blueish strap, becoming a bright yellow touch, instantly recognized, wherever I wear it. Looks like I‘ve got the last available strap. That makes it even more fancy! Lucky I am!
The SRP031 is a beautiful high contrast simple dial. The numerals and markings are crisp bright white. There is a small red triangle at the date opening. The "Seiko" marking seems to be a gunmetal hue which is also quite nice and either blends in or shines against the very matte black dial face depending on the angle. One thing of note, unlike it's big brother the SRP043, this dial has absolutely no Lume on it, not anywhere. I am guessing this was done for the markings to be as white as possible.
Original Seiko part fits perfectly.

Excellent quality
Had trouble getting the item the first time. The dial was returned to holland and had to be shipped out again. BUT they were very communicative and allowed me to add a second hand to the order that was out of stock for my first order. Very pleased. Amazing product, my first real seiko dial!
Beautiful deep teal-green glacial ice dial
The shroud took a little bit over a week to arrive, but it was pretty quick considering that I live in Australia, it came perfectly secured inside the packaging with the original Seiko part number label, super easy to replace and great quality. I hope that they stock them again soon to buy another one just in case I need it in the future.

They are often sad and neglected pieces therefore I have several ‘go to’ suppliers that have the hard to find NOS items required to bring the watches back to life.
