At WatchPlaza.com, we proudly ship worldwide from the Netherlands.

We do not charge import duties, taxes, or customs clearance fees at checkout for destinations outside the EU.
For non-EU countries, any applicable import charges are assessed by local customs authorities and/or the carrier in the destination country and are payable by the customer upon import or delivery.

This guide reflects the most recent rules known to us as of April 30, 2026.

🇪🇺 European Union – VAT Included

We are based in the Netherlands, and all orders within the EU are:

✅ Shipped with 21% Dutch VAT included
✅ No import duties or customs procedures
🚚 Fast delivery via DHL, PostNL or other reliable carriers

This applies to customers in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and all other EU member states.

🇺🇸 United States – Duties & Taxes Included

We ship to the United States via USPS using a Postal Delivered Duty Paid (PDDP) service. This means:

✅ All applicable import duties and taxes are calculated and paid at checkout ✅ No fees, duties, or customs charges upon delivery ✅ Your order arrives without any surprises at the door 🚚 Delivered by USPS

The applicable duty rate depends on the product and its country of origin. For most watch parts of Japanese or European origin, the applicable rate is based on the current U.S. tariff schedule.

🇬🇧 United Kingdom – VAT and Possible Import Charges

For orders shipped to the United Kingdom:

• Goods with a value of £135 or less are generally subject to UK VAT at the point of sale
• Goods with a value of more than £135 are generally subject to import VAT upon import, and customs duty may also apply depending on the product
• Couriers or postal operators may also charge handling or clearance fees

WatchPlaza does not collect UK import charges upon delivery.
Any applicable import VAT, customs duty, or clearance fees are payable by the customer in the UK.

🇦🇺 Australia – Border Threshold and GST

For shipments to Australia:

• For goods with a customs value of AUD 1,000 or less, there are generally no duties, taxes, or charges payable at the border
• For goods above AUD 1,000, import GST, duty, and customs clearance charges may apply
• Separately, Australia has rules for GST on low value imported goods, which may require GST to be collected at the point of sale by certain overseas sellers or marketplaces

WatchPlaza does not charge Australian import fees at delivery.
If any import charges apply under Australian law, they are determined in Australia and are the responsibility of the customer.

🇨🇦 Canada – GST/HST, Possible Duty and Handling Fees

For shipments to Canada:

• Imported goods sent by mail may be subject to GST/HST and/or customs duty
• The standard low-value exemption for most non-gift imports is CAD 20
• Gifts from friends or relatives may have a higher exemption, but this does not normally apply to commercial webshop orders
• Postal operators or couriers may also charge handling, brokerage, or customs clearance fees

Some mail shipments may pass through with no additional charges in practice, but this cannot be guaranteed and should not be assumed.

WatchPlaza does not collect Canadian import charges at checkout.
Any GST/HST, duty, or carrier fees are payable by the customer upon import or delivery.

🇨🇭 Switzerland – Import VAT and Possible Clearance Fees

For shipments to Switzerland:

• Swiss import VAT is generally charged on imported goods
• The standard Swiss VAT rate is 8.1%
• Carriers may also charge customs clearance or administrative fees
• Depending on the product, customs duty may also apply

These charges are not collected by WatchPlaza at checkout.
Any applicable Swiss import charges are payable by the customer upon import or delivery.
