This replacement strap was purchased due to the closure holes wear and tear of the exact same original Seiko straps that came with my new watch. Although its supposed to be a rugged synthetic strap and it's the only original replacement part available for my watch, it didn't live up to it's reputation. I expect it to last for only 1 year of normal use. At nearly EUR80.00 it's an expensive annual maintenance cost for otherwise a very nice and accurate diving watch. Still there is no other original Seiko alternative, so ill buy it again if it breaks down. On the positive side it's beautiful and has a nice smooth feel to it when new.
